Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Floral Clerk to assist in creating floral items, greet customers, and help process orders in a fast-paced store environment. You will design arrangements, package orders, and maintain clean, organized displays while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include assisting customers in locating items, handling calls, and operating the cash register. A team-oriented approach and reliability on weekends/holidays are expected.

• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist and greet customers promptly and provide them with great service.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Help design and create floral arrangements and/or items to fill customer orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Keep carts, tools, and supplies organized and in designated areas.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Maintain plants, process and prepare flower arrangements and fill balloons.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and space allocation.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
