Job summary

Hy-Vee is hiring a Floral Department Manager in Lenexa, KS. You will lead the floral department, set standards for service and profitability, and manage pricing, promotions, and order processing with Teleflora and FTD networks.

You will guide a team, plan schedules, monitor inventory, and ensure freshness and quality while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three+ years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set standards for customer service and department profitability.
• Greet customers and resolve concerns promptly.
• Process and manage FTD, interstore, Teleflora, and internet orders.
• Recruit, train, and develop department staff.
• Plan schedules and daily work plans with the Store Director.
• Inspect displays and order replenishment to maintain pricing.
• Analyze sales trends and plan promotions.
• Oversee department bookkeeping and inventory control.
• Ensure proper temperatures and handling of perishable stock.
• Unload trucks and receive deliveries.
