Job summary

Lumber Liquidators in Amarillo is seeking a Sales Associate to meet with customers, assess flooring needs, and guide them from consultation to purchase. You will build a pipeline, handle objections, and aim for strong conversion while maintaining an engaging showroom.

The role offers a base pay of $15.00–$18.00 per hour with monthly commission and uncapped bonuses, along with a 401(k) match and paid time off. Applicants should be able to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Retail or sales experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Forklift certification required prior to operation.
• Bilingual Spanish is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to understand flooring needs, style, project, budget, and timeline.
• Consult, recommend, and sell flooring products and solutions.
• Own the customer experience from the initial conversation through the sale and follow-up.
• Build a pipeline of opportunities and actively follow up to close business.
• Ask for the sale and confidently overcome objections.
• Develop relationships that generate repeat business, referrals, and new opportunities.
• Use product knowledge and sales tools to create solutions—not simply quote prices.
• Achieve individual sales, conversion, and other performance goals.
• Maintain an organized and compelling showroom that helps customers visualize their projects.
• Process sales and orders accurately and ensure customers receive what they purchased.
• Support inventory and day-to-day store operations when needed.
