Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service, building lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. You will meet with customers, listen to project needs, and develop creative concepts that fit style, lifestyle, and budget.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, scheduling appointments, advising on tile/wood/stone selections for residential and commercial projects, and using design tools like Salesforce and MyProject to manage projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsabilités

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking, referrals and in-store leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice to homeowners, interior designers and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accurate, timely communication using company tools.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and meet sales goals.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices with staff.
• Stay current with design trends in the market.
• Utilize Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler and MyProject in daily work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
