Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. You meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate them on requirements, and craft a design concept reflecting their personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

As a Designer, greet customers, schedule appointments, advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects, and drive sales through expert guidance

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers and develop clientele.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
