Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to assist customers with tile, wood, stone and accessories, guiding them from concept to installation.

Candidates should have a BA/AA in Interior Design or 6 years of interior design experience; retail/sales experience is preferred. Strong math, communication and computer skills are essential for success in a fast-paced, customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience in lieu of degree.
• Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years.
• Prior retail/sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer position.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and store leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice to homeowners, designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and stay current with design trends.
• Understand and utilize design applications like Salesforce, Scheduler and MyProject.
