Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers we serve. You will meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a concept that reflects personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of design consultant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices.
• Stay current with design trends in the market.
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and online schedulers.
