Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers we serve.

They greet customers, schedule design appointments, and offer expert advice on tile, wood, stone and accessories for both residential and commercial projects. Designers create complete, functional design concepts aligned with clients' style, lifestyle, and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of design consultant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking, referrals, and store leads.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and follow-up.
• Use company tools and emails consistently.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and stay current with design trends.
• Utilize design applications Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler, and MyProject.
