Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide seamless, start-to-finish design consultations to build lasting customer relationships and brand loyalty. You meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate them on requirements, and craft creative concepts that reflect style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum eligibility includes design experience or retail/sales background; a design degree is a plus, and knowledge of hard surface flooring is beneficial. Proficiency in basic math and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in interior design or retail/sales is required.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is beneficial.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support design walk-ins.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via referrals.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential/commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to meet sales goals.
• Utilize design applications and respond to inquiries promptly.
