Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service, building lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. They meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Role involves greeting customers, scheduling appointments, advising on tile, wood, stone, and accessories, and managing multiple projects through design to installation with clear communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard-surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking, referrals, and store leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessory advice to homeowners, designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with high accuracy and timely follow-up.
