Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds relationships and brand loyalty with our customers. You will meet with customers, understand project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, scheduling design appointments, advising on flooring products, selling complete design solutions, and collaborating with store leadership to drive

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and schedule design appointments for clients.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Stay current with design trends in the market.
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and the Online Design Scheduler.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
