Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships with customers. They meet with clients, understand project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept that reflects personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

The role requires at least one year of design or retail/sales experience; a Design degree is a plus. Proficiency in math and basic software is expected, with some travel possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
