Job Description: Floor Technician

Location: Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center, 1750 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, NC 27284. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Temporary; days and hours may vary, including rotating weekends and holidays. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Prior floor technician experience required.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring floors using industrial equipment and proper procedures for various surfaces.

Essential Functions

1. Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing.
2. Operate various industrial floor care equipment.
3. Utilize automated equipment for large floor areas.
4. Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing and spot cleaning.
5. Conduct maintenance and restorative processes for all floor types.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience as a floor care technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
