Job summary

ESFM, a division of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Floor Technician in Baton Rouge, LA. The role covers floor maintenance, restoration and operation of industrial floor care equipment in a full-time schedule.

Essential duties include hard-floor care, burnishing, stripping, spray cleaning, and carpet care. Candidates should have floor care experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position offers benefits as part of an ESFM team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstering tasks including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
