Job summary

ESFM is seeking a Floor Technician in Baton Rouge, LA to perform floor maintenance and operate industrial floor care equipment. This full-time role requires experience in floor care and the ability to follow safety procedures.

The position is based at Exxon, with a schedule from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Friday. Applicants should have prior floor care experience and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, shampooing, spot cleaning, vacuuming etc.
• Perform maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
