ESFM, the facilities management division of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Floor Technician in Caledonia, MI to perform floor maintenance and restoration. The role involves operating industrial floor care equipment and ensuring safe, clean, and high-quality floor surfaces in a hospitality-focused environment.

The position is full-time with varying days/hours; prior floor care experience is preferred and lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
