Compass Group is seeking a Floor Technician for on-site work at Ascension Riverside in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment during day shifts.

Pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour with both full-time and part-time options, and shifts typically run 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Qualifications include prior floor-care experience, knowledge of floor-care techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor-care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor-care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp-surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative works for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Location & Schedule

Ascension Riverside – 1 Schircliff Way, Jacksonville, FL 32204.

Full-time and part-time positions. Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (days may vary).

Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour.

• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
