Job summary

A leading education service provider is seeking a Floor Technician responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment. This full-time position is based at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Candidates should have prior experience in floor care and knowledge of safety procedures. Comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental insurance, will be provided.

Job Summary

Floor Technician responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Work Details

Location: Palm Beach Atlantic University, 901 South Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Other school district locations available.

Schedule: Full‑time Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:30 am. Some flexibility for full or part‑time as needed.

Pay: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Essential Functions

• Maintain knowledge of hard‑surface floor maintenance principles and use proper procedures on floor care—including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Follow proper procedures on carpet and upholstery care, including shampooing, damp surface care, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor‑care technician or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor‑care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
