Job summary

HES Facilities Management is hiring a Floor Technician for the Williamsburg, VA facility. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining floors, including carpet care, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing of hard surfaces.

Applicants should have 2 years of floor tech experience, the ability to operate floor machines up to 24 inches, and lift up to 70 pounds. This is a 2nd shift position with a 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a Floor Technician.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with carpet cleaning and floor finishing.
• Education: High school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors.
• Operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnisher equipment.
• Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
• Maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment and report any issues.

Must have 2 years experience as a Floor Technician.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors. Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment. Follow established safety precautions. Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment. Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Job Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Excellent work history. Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction. Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail. Reliable transportation.

Education: High school degree preferred but not required.

Experience: Previous floor tech experience preferred.
