Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a floor technician to perform carpet cleaning and floor maintenance across educational facilities. The role requires hands-on experience with bonnet and extraction methods, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing.

Applicants should be able to operate floor buffers and burnishers, adhere to safety procedures, and lift up to 70 pounds. A high school diploma is preferred and reliability in a fast-paced environment is essential.

• Needs to have experience w/ Carpet Cleaning and VCT Flooring.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors.
• Operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
• Follow safety precautions and maintain floor cleaning/finishing equipment.
• Maintain all areas of the facility and report needs to supervisor.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors.
