Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking 2nd shift Floor Techs to perform carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing for educational facilities. The role requires operating floor buffers and burnishing equipment, following safety procedures, and contributing to a clean, safe environment.

Applicants should have a high school degree (preferred) and prior floor tech experience. The position is full-time with a 2nd shift schedule and opportunities to grow within the facilities team.

Qualifications

• Duties include carpet cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surfaces.
• Must operate high/low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM burnishing equipment.
• Follow safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all facility areas.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors.Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.Follow established safety precautions.Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.Job Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.Excellent work historyTeam focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take directionPhysically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detailReliable transportationEducation: High school degree preferred, but not required.Experience: Previous floor tech experience preferred.
