Job summary

HES is seeking a Floor Technician for the 2nd shift in Williamsburg, VA. You will perform carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, sealing, waxing and buffing using high- and low-speed equipment, while following safety protocols.

Must have 2 years of Floor Technician experience; a high school diploma is preferred but not required. The position is on-site with a physical, fast-paced environment and a strong team focus.

• Physically demanding role; lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing floors.
• Operate floor buffers and burnishers up to 24 inches and 3000 RPM.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Collaborate with team in a fast-paced custodial environment.

Job Skills / Requirements

Shift: Monday-Friday

Hours: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Must have 2 years experience as a Floor Technician.

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing had surface floors.Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.Follow established safety precautions.Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.Job Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.Excellent work historyTeam focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take directionPhysically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detailReliable transportation

Education: High school degree preferred but not required.

Experience: Previous floor tech experience preferred.
