Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a floor technician to perform carpet cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing and spray buffing of various hard surfaces. You will operate buffers and related equipment, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining all gear in good condition.

Ideal candidates bring prior floor tech experience, a high school degree (preferred), and a collaborative, detail-oriented work approach. This on-site role offers benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor tech preferred.
• Education: High school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet cleaning, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing and spray buffing of floors.
• Operate floor buffers and other cleaning equipment safely.
• Maintain and troubleshoot floor cleaning/finishing equipment.
• Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas.

Job Skills / Requirements

Performs the following duties: carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors. Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment. Follow established safety precautions. Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffer/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment. Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Job Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Excellent work history. Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction. Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail. Reliable transportation.
