Job summary

HES is seeking a Floor Care Technician in the Austin area to perform carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, sealing and waxing of hard surfaces. You will operate floor buffers and burnishing equipment, and maintain cleaning gear while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work in a team, and have reliable transportation. This is a full and part-time, 2nd shift position with eligible benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in floor care is a plus.
• Must be able to reach, bend, push and pull.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Reliable transportation and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carpet cleaning (Bonnet and Extract) and cleaning of hard surfaces floors.
• Operate high/low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM burnishing equipment.
• Maintain and operate floor cleaning/finishing equipment.
• Follow safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining facility areas.

Job Skills / Requirements

Performs the following duties;

• Carpet cleaning (Bonnet and Extract), scrubbing, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surfaces floors
• Must be able to operate high and low speed buffers up to 24 inch and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment
• Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include but not limited to floor buffers/burnishes, water extraction machine, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility
• Minimum QualificationsEducation: High school degree preferred but not required.Experience: Previous Floor care experience a plus.Requirements;
• Ability to reach, bend, push and pull.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Reliable Transportation
• Team focus approach requiring ability to work with others and take directions

Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company.
