Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a floor technician to perform carpet cleaning, floor care, and related maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires physical ability and teamwork to deliver high-quality custodial services for educational facilities.

Responsibilities include operating floor care equipment, following safety protocols, and maintaining floors across client sites. Prior floor tech experience is preferred and reliable transportation is recommended.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Excellent work history; team-focused with ability to work with others and take direction.
• Physically demanding, fast-paced environment with attention to detail and reliable transportation.
• Education: High school diploma preferred, but not required.
• Experience: Previous floor tech experience preferred.

• Perform carpet cleaning (bonnet and extraction), scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors.
• Operate high- and low-speed buffers up to 24 inches and 3000 RPM propane burnishing equipment.
• Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning/finishing equipment including but not limited to floor buffers/burnishers, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.
