Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Floor Technician in Plano, TX for weekend shifts. You will perform scheduled floor care tasks, mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, vacuum carpets, and arrange furniture as needed to keep facilities clean and safe.

The role requires experience in floor care, basic English communication, and adherence to safety policies. Candidates should be available for weekend work and be committed to high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care in a healthcare or institutional setting.
• Experience with institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience operating floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all floor surfaces and performs cleaning tasks as directed.
• Buffs, waxes, strips and re-waxes floors as needed.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets per supervisor instructions.
• Uses appropriate chemicals and equipment following safety rules.
• Reports repair needs to supervisor or maintenance department.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Floor Technician position is to perform scheduled floor care tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may also mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in Floor Care.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Essential Functions

• Maintains all floor surfaces.
• Buffs and waxes floors, strips and waxes floors, top scrubs and waxes floors.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
