Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is seeking a Floor Tech for a nursing home, senior living facility, hospital or healthcare setting in Merritt Island, FL. This full-time position offers day and evening shifts, with alternating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include floor maintenance, safe operation of floor scrubbing machines and buffers, and proper equipment care. Prior healthcare cleaning experience is preferred; HS diploma or GED is required.

• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Ability to operate floor scrubbing machines and buffers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Operate floor care equipment safely (extractor, auto-scraper, buffers, vacuums, steam machine).
• Keep equipment in good working order and store after use.
• Dispose of garbage throughout the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Floor Tech Shifts: Day and Evening Shifts, Alternating Weekends, Holidays.

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Housekeeping Staff for long term care nursing facility in Merritt Island, FL.

Space Coast Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. 125 Alma Blvd, Merritt Island, FL 32953.

Floor Tech Key Duties

• Maintain all floors by sweeping mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing throughout the facility.
• Various pieces of equipment are properly and safely operated such as extractor, auto-scraper, high speed buffer, shop vac, side-to-side buffer, vacuum, and steam machine.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and stores properly in designated locations after each use.
• Dispose of all garbage throughout the facility.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Floor Tech Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Environmental Services or housekeeping experience a plus.
• Prior experience working in a nursing home, hospital or healthcare environment a plus.
• Ability to operate automatic floor scrubbing machines and floor buffers.
