Job summary

Harborview Health Systems is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, sanitary floors across the facility, including carpeted and hardwood surfaces. You will scrub, polish, and wax floors and perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure a hygienic, presentable environment.

The role supports infection control priorities and requires lifting up to 50 lbs. Prior custodial experience in healthcare or hospitality is preferred, with access to top pay

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality setting a plus).
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning tools and procedures is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpeted and hardwood flooring.
• Scrub, polish, and wax floors of all types.
• Deep and routine cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and hallways to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and polish surfaces per schedules and protocols.
• Replenish linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas.
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens per infection control procedures.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs or less.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for cleaning carpeted and hardwood flooring

• Scrubbing polishing and waxing floors of all types

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility hallways to maintain a hygienic, presentable, and comfortable environment

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to cleaning schedules and protocols

• Replenish supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas

• Dispose of trash and soiled linens appropriately and according to infection control procedures

• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department
