Job description

CareCore at Margaret Hall, a beautiful five-star facility recognized by US News as a “Best” Long Term Care and Rehab facility, is seeking a Full-Time Floor Tech.

This facility is located in the Heart of Cincinnati in the highly desirable Hyde Park/O’Bryonville neighborhood.

The position of Floor Tech works to maintain a friendly and positive image for the center, assisting in cleaning floors and supporting housekeeping with trash and other duties. The position must function as a team member to ensure that work is accomplished, and quality service is delivered.

JOB DUTIES

1. Carries out all cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Director according to required department policies and procedures.
2. Ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly floor maintenance schedules are followed.
3. Sweeps, spot mops, and buffs all tiled hallways sufficiently by 10:00 AM every day.
4. Sweeps, spot mops, and buffs all tiled resident rooms sufficiently 2-3 times a week or as scheduled by the Environmental Services Director.
5. The floor technician daily schedule shall be used to document completion.
6. Deep cleans, strips, and waxes all tiled resident rooms and common areas on a four to six-month cycle or as scheduled by the Environmental Services Director.
7. Removes furniture and residents from areas before work is performed (get nursing assistance with resident transfer to their location of choice).
8. Collects and empties facility trash at least twice daily on all nursing units or as scheduled by the Environmental Services Director.
9. Maintains a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
10. Ensures that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Reports any defects to the department director.
11. Practices sensitivity to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
12. Adheres to infection control policies at all times.
13. Adheres to the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
14. Ensures all necessary documentation is completed daily.
15. Carries out other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director.
16. Keeps the supervisor informed of factors that interfere with the ability to perform the work as assigned (i.e., resident issues, equipment issues).
17. Reports any untoward event immediately to the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Prior work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
