Job description

SBM Management is seeking a Floor Technician to ensure floors are sparkling and well-maintained! We are hiring an experienced professional to clean and organize commercial or office spaces. Excellent communication skills are essential to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures; address risky behaviors promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments.
• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and rules.
• Respond promptly to supervision and take directions.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
• Assist during staff shortages in custodial, recycling, or maintenance roles.
• Support shift leads in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment for assigned tasks.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Prioritize customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems and environmental safety protocols.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas daily.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on all types of flooring: tile, carpet, brick.
• Complete work assignments efficiently and on time.
• Use chemicals and supplies according to safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain equipment properly and safely.
• Observe safety precautions, including wet floor signs.
• Work independently without constant supervision.
• Report safety hazards promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in the janitorial industry is required; floor and carpet care expertise is preferred.
• Must pass a drug test, background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and E-Verify.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and experience with floor care machinery required.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and machinery operation.

Compensation: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday; 5:00 pm - 1:30 am
