SBM Management is searching for a Floor Technician who can make the floors sparkle and shine! We are hiring a Floor Technician with experience in ensuring customers have clean and orderly commercial or office spaces. Professional communication with customers to meet their expectations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Address risky behaviors in others and self.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete assignments.
- Perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
- Fill in during staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance roles.
- Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
- Use proper personal protective equipment as required.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Understand customer service and satisfaction principles.
- Be familiar with reporting systems and environmental safety.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet, and brick.
- Complete work assignments timely.
- Utilize chemicals and supplies according to procedures.
- Operate and maintain equipment properly and safely.
- Observe safety precautions, including wet floor signs.
- Work independently without supervision.
- Report safety hazards promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience in the janitorial industry required; floor/carpet care expertise preferred.
- Must pass SBM background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and E-Verify.
- Floor care experience and machinery operation skills required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- General knowledge of floor care and scrubbing techniques.
Compensation: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
Shift: 5:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday-Friday
