Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a dedicated floor care associate to perform cleaning and maintenance in commercial settings in the Chicago area. You will operate floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, ensuring floors are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning methods for different flooring materials.
• Ability to safely operate buffers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners and similar equipment.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings.
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment (buffers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners).
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains.
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors with appropriate products and techniques.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
