Job summary

GDI Services Inc US is seeking a floor care technician to maintain floors across multiple locations in the Pittsburgh area. You will operate buffers, scrubbers, and related equipment, as well as strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.

The role requires the ability to work independently, lift and perform physical labor, and hold a valid driver's license with a clean record; weekend work possible. Benefits include 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year floor-care experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Steel-toed shoes required when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Clean commercial buildings, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash.
• Travel to various GDI locations to complete floor care and specialty cleaning projects.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, carpet machines, pressure washers, and wet/dry vacuums.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (5pm - 1am)

Weekends when necessary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Clean commercial buildings, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash.
• Travel to various GDI locations to complete floor care and specialty cleaning projects.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, carpet machines, pressure washers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Follow safety procedures and properly place safety barricades in work areas.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of floor-care experience preferred.
• Commercial cleaning or flooring experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to various job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Steel-toed shoes required when applicable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions and perform physical labor.
