Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a diligent custodian to perform floor cleaning and maintenance in commercial settings. The role involves operating buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, plus sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor finishing.

You will follow safety protocols, dispose of waste properly, and keep restrooms clean and stocked. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good time management, and the physical stamina to handle demanding custodial tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience performing floor cleaning and maintenance in commercial settings.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned

Work Schedule:

• Mon- Fri - 5:00PM - 1:30AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned

Skills:

• Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment effectively and safely
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions for proper floor maintenance
• Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects as required for the job
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members
