Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a reliable Custodian to perform floor cleaning and maintenance in commercial settings on Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves operating buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, plus sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions for proper floor maintenance.
• Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects as required for the job.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with other custodial duties as assigned

• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as neededAssist with other custodial duties as assigned
