Job summary

GDI, Inc. is hiring a floor cleaning associate to perform cleaning tasks in commercial settings using buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners, and to help maintain floors and restrooms as needed.

Work on a Mon-Fri schedule from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, following safety protocols to ensure a clean, hazard-free environment while delivering efficient, detail-oriented custodial service and reliable teamwork with the site staff. We value diversity and are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure spotless floors and restrooms.
• Good time management to complete tasks within allotted shifts.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
• Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as neededAssist with other custodial duties as assigned

Skills

• Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods
• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment effectively and safely
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions for proper floor maintenance
• Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects as required for the job
