Job summary

Harborview Health Systems in Augusta, GA is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe patient and resident areas in a faith-based, caregiver-focused setting. You will scrub, polish, and wax floors, clean carpeted and hardwood surfaces, and keep hallways and common areas hygienic and presentable.

Prior housekeeping or custodial experience in healthcare or hospitality helps. Familiarity with industrial cleaning tools is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or custodial work is preferred, especially in healthcare or hospitality.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning tools and procedures is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning carpeted and hardwood flooring
• Scrubbing polishing and waxing floors of all types
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility hallways to maintain a hygienic, presentable, and comfortable environment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to cleaning schedules and protocols
• Replenish supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens appropriately and according to infection control procedures
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department
• Duties as assigned
