Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ proven experience in an operations management position.
• Bilingual communication skills (Spanish) - preferred.
• Knowledge of general business software; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excels in conflict management, leadership, organization, and decision making.

Job DetailsJob Shift: 2nd ShiftWith guidance from the Shift Manager, supervises the operations of a specific department, ensuring effective management of labor, safety, quality, and efficiency standards while working side by side with the team. Leads and direct the team to achieve departmental goals. Continuously enhance operational procedures, systems, and principles, seeking opportunities for improvement and expansion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with others to ensure optimal shop floor efficiency
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
• Understands and follows all documented and/or established safety, health, quality and operational policies, procedures and practices.
• Select, train, assign, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
• Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans.
• Forecast requirements; analyze variances; identify root cause(s); initiating corrective actions
• Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; injury/accident-free workplace.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations; seeking and completing training, which supports continuous personal and professional improvement.
• Responsible for performance and development of all lead operators and operators.
• Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals assigned to department.
• Ensure all operating policies and/or current issues are communicated appropriately through department and/or stand up meetings
• Work closely with the inventory control team to analyze inventory control and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively and controlling material loss.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field – preferred
