Job summary

Role summary

The Second Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing, coordinating, and overseeing the loading and unloading operations of units, ensuring compliance with productivity, safety, quality, and service standards. They manage the personnel assigned to the shift, keeping the operation efficient.

Objective

Ensure that all second-shift loading and unloading operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and on time, contributing to the production and service goals of the industrial laundry.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the loading and unloading staff during the second shift.
  • Distribute tasks and allocate resources according to operational needs and production volumes.
  • Verify that units are loaded and unloaded safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor the punctuality, attendance, performance, and discipline of the staff under supervision.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors of other shifts and departments to ensure operational continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards, accident prevention, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct periodic inspections of work areas to identify risks and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure the proper handling of the tools used in operations.
  • Complete production, incident, and attendance reports, along with any other documentation required by management.
  • Investigate and report accidents, equipment damage, inventory losses, or situations that affect the operation.
  • Train and orient new employees on operational and safety procedures.
  • Work to improve productivity, reduce loading and unloading times, and optimize the use of resources.
  • Address and resolve operational situations or conflicts between employees professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and organization of the loading and unloading areas.
Requirements
