Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a dedicated associate to maintain safe and sanitary environments across our facilities. This on-site role in New Jersey contributes to patient and visitor well-being by ensuring clean spaces and proper waste handling.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties, floor and carpet care, chemical safety, and potential linen tasks. English proficiency and a high school diploma are preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to speak English required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Cleans and maintains Virtua facilities as directed. Includes responsibilities such as cleaning, removing trash, linen distribution, and room set up.
• Maintains universal precautions to ensure patient and employee safety.
• Safely handles and disposes of regulated medical waste, and other trash.
• Responsible for proper chemical usage and maintaining a safe environment, including storage of chemicals.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Strip/scrub and recoat floors, shampoo/extract carpets.
• Train staff in performance of advanced refinishing restoration techniques.
• May assume linen responsibilities as required.

Hourly Rate: $18.26 - $22.38 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
