Job summary

Spreetail seeks a Safety Manager to protect our people and drive a proactive safety culture across the fulfillment center. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, including floor-level presence, walk-throughs, incident investigations, and ensuring audits are audit-ready.

You will own critical safety metrics, document OSHA records, and lead training and compliance across shifts to maintain a safe, efficient operation. Join a fast-growing e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety or EHS experience in production, warehouse, distribution, or e-fulfillment environments.
• Formal or extensive regulatory experience and exposure.
• Experience supporting multi-shift operations, including night or weekend shifts.
• Hands-on experience conducting JHAs, safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Proven ability to own and execute integrated safety programs independently without Safety Supervisor support.
• Comfortable as a floor-level presence on the warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

• Own key safety metrics (ORIR & LTI) and drive root-cause actions with Operations support.
• Document and investigate every OSHA recordable and close corrective actions on time.
• Ensure safety training completion targets (new hires and PIT) remain at/above 95%.
• Conduct monthly safety audits and track open items to closure.
• Maintain current emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and first-aid resources.
• Actively manage workers’ compensation claims and use modified duty programs to reduce costs.
