Job description

Floor Layer / Floor Technician / Athletic Surface Installer

Miller Sports is seeking experienced floor layers, flooring technicians, and athletic surface installers. Installers are responsible for all aspects of surface installation and finishing, including wood, resilient, turf, track, and urethane surfaces. Candidates must be willing to travel, primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

1. Install athletic surfaces
2. Layout flooring and game lines
3. Communicate effectively, problem solve, and work within a crew
4. Travel overnight as required (mainly Mid-Atlantic region)

Experience and Skills

• 1-2 years of experience with residential or athletic flooring
• Surface and floor maintenance experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and over 100 pounds with a team

Types of Installations Needed

• Wood Sport Systems (installation, sanding, painting)
• Resilient surfaces (rubber, Mondo, Sport Court, etc.)
• Track surfaces (pour-in-place, recoat, spray)
• Turf (indoor and outdoor)
• Court surfaces (Acrylic coating systems for tennis, pickleball, basketball, hockey)
