Job description

Position: Floor Layer/Floor Technician/Athletic Surface Installer

Miller Sports is seeking experienced floor layers, flooring technicians, and athletic surface installers. Installers are responsible for all aspects of surface installation and finishing, including surfaces such as wood, resilient, turf, track, and urethane. Candidates must be willing to travel, primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Install athletic surfaces
• Layout flooring and game lines
• Communicate effectively, problem solve, and work within a team
• Some overnight travel required (mainly Mid-Atlantic region)

Experience and Skills

• 1 to 2 years of experience with residential or athletic flooring
• Surface and floor maintenance experience
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and over 100 pounds as part of a team

Types of Installations Needed

• Wood Sport Systems (installers, sanders, painters)
• Resilient surfaces (Rubber, Mondo, Sport Court, etc.)
• Track surfaces (pour-in-place, recoat, spray)
• Turf (indoor and outdoor)
• Court systems (Acrylic coatings for tennis, pickleball, basketball, hockey)
