Job summary

Ranger Energy Services is hiring a Floor Hand I to support well servicing operations in Oklahoma. You will work under the Rig Operator and Tool Pusher to perform tasks necessary for safe, efficient rig operations.

The role requires basic understanding of rig equipment, ability to learn safety procedures, and willingness to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment. CDL or driver’s license is often required and flexibility in schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred.
• Must be familiar with pump and tank operations.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment.
• Competent communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Understand RES concept of Stop Work Accountability and safety policies.
• Learn RES safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in Meet and Greet at location sites.
• Attend JSA/DWP and tail gate meetings as scheduled.
• Operate rig equipment – slips, tongs, and elevators.
• Assist in mud pump and fluid handling operations.
• Support floor hand during loss of well control events.
• Pull and run rods and tubing.
• Understand secondary lift mechanisms like rod and ESPs.
• Assist in pipe tallying and rigging up/down BOP units.
• Keep work site, equipment and tools clean and in good working order.
• Lubricate and adjust equipment as needed.
• Identify hazards and perform Safety Observations.
• Learn energy isolation procedures.
• Learn new skills as directed by Rig Operator and mentors.
• Stop work if unsafe and report concerns immediately.
• Report all incidents immediately.
• Other duties as assigned.
