Job summary

The Bungalow Kitchen in Tiburon, CA seeks a Beverage Manager to lead the beverage program and front-of-house team. You will guide cocktails, wine, beer and nonalcoholic offerings, train staff, and actively participate on the dining room floor during peak service to ensure memorable guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has deep California wine knowledge, strong leadership, and a creative yet disciplined approach to purchasing, costing, and inventory.

Qualifications

• Previous beverage or bar management experience in a high-volume, elevated dining environment.
• Strong practical wine knowledge, including California and key international regions, producers, styles, food pairings.
• Experience with inventory, purchasing, recipe costing, and beverage cost management.
• Proven ability to train teams, lead service, and balance hospitality with business performance.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop bartenders and bar staff, fostering accountability and pride in guest experience.
• Oversee beverage program, ordering, inventory, pricing, and vendor relationships.
• Train staff on cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and service standards.
• Lead from the dining room floor during peak service to maintain pace and guest engagement.
• Partner with leadership on staffing and labor while maintaining service quality.
