Job summary

The Seattle Housing Authority is seeking a Floor Coverer to join our maintenance team in Seattle, WA. The role involves installing and maintaining a variety of floor coverings, from carpet to tile, and ensuring quality workmanship on our properties.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid WA driver's license, and prior floor covering experience in building maintenance or related fields.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining various flooring types.
• Ability to read measurements and estimate material needs.
• Attention to safety and quality standards in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, cut, and lay carpet, tile, linoleum, and resilient floor coverings.
• Remove and install related substrates and underlayments as required.
• Install materials and devices securing floor coverings in place.
• Measure and estimate floor covering materials for each job.
• Stock warehouse and job sites with tiles and rolls of flooring material.
