Job summary

Quantum Fuel Systems LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor (1st shift) to lead the Lake Forest production floor onsite. You will set expectations, drive daily targets, enforce 5S and safety standards, and ensure flawless shift communications and KPI tracking.

The role requires 5+ years of supervision in manufacturing, analytical thinking, and proficiency with production tracking tools and MS Office. Will work overtime as needed to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a production supervisor role within manufacturing
• Deep knowledge of 5S safety principles and on-floor application
• Strong analytical skills; ability to read data and make fast, sound decisions
• Proficient in production tracking software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of production workers – set expectations and hold them
• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly production targets with zero tolerance for preventable failures
• Enforce 5S principles and ensure they are applied consistently
• Conduct safety audits, address hazards immediately, and maintain a safety-first culture
• Run shift communications: production logs, KPI tracking, updates to management
• Oversee workforce training so every employee knows their role and performs it properly
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep equipment running and downtime minimal
• Implement company Quality Assurance Procedures and Departmental Work Instructions to the letter
