Job summary

Carlson Building Maintenance in Streamwood, IL seeks a Floor Care Technician to operate floor scrubbers, buffers and other equipment to keep a large retail facility clean and ready for customers each day.

You’ll scrub, buff, strip and wax hard floors, vacuum, shampoo carpets, follow safety standards, and report maintenance needs. No floor care experience required—training is provided, with a stable schedule and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull floor care equipment.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and other floor care equipment.
• Maintain hard floor surfaces through scrubbing, buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Vacuum, shampoo, bonnet, and extract carpeted areas.
• Perform general cleaning and restroom cleaning as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company cleaning standards.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
• Complete assigned cleaning projects independently and efficiently.
