Job summary

PRIDE Industries is seeking a Floor/Utility Technician to perform cleaning, stripping, waxing and restoration of tile, carpet and flooring in office, courthouse or military base settings. You will operate floor care equipment to deliver quality results safely and efficiently, under supervision.

The role requires one year of custodial experience, strong communication with customers, ability to read labels, and proficiency with scrubbers and buffers.

Qualifications

• One year of custodial work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and others.
• Ability to read and follow labels on chemicals and use supplies safely.
• Ability to learn to use floor care equipment including scrubbers and buffers.
• Effective written communication and business English.
• Computer literacy to enter and retrieve data.
• Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense.

Responsibilities

• Schedule floor tasks with supervisor or lead.
• Inspect and prepare equipment and chemicals for procedures.
• Perform floor tasks and review quality of work.
• Secure equipment after tasks are finished.
• Request repairs and tag equipment when needed.
• Perform additional duties and special projects.
