Job summary

RNA Facilities Management in Troy, MI is seeking a part-time Floor Tech to maintain all floor surfaces and sustain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will operate floor equipment, apply waxing and stripping tasks, and assist with hazardous waste collection as needed.

The role requires proven floor maintenance experience, knowledge of cleaning equipment, and adherence to safety protocols while wearing PPE during chemical handling. E-Verify confirmed employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
• Proven floor maintenance experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. – We Use E-Verify

Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas.
• Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
• Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
• Operating floor equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
• Using hand and power tools such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, mops, floor strippers.
• Inspecting floors for any damage and carrying out minor repairs.
• Measuring chemicals correctly.
• Operating chemical dispensing units.
• Labeling chemicals correctly.
• Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
• Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by your supervisor.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
